The phone call
Expect to be asked where you are, what is locked and what kind of lock or vehicle it is. You should get a realistic arrival estimate and a price before anyone is sent.
Arrival and ID
The technician should arrive in a marked vehicle and introduce themselves by business name. They will ask for ID and proof that you live at the property or own the car.
Getting you inside
Most lockouts are opened without damage using picks, bypass tools or vehicle wedges. If a lock has to be drilled, you should be told why and agree before it happens.
No surprises on price
The price agreed on the phone should match what you pay, unless the technician explains a change and you agree first.
Before they leave
Test the lock, ask whether it should be rekeyed if keys are lost, and keep the receipt. Read more on our emergency service page.
