Why holidays bring more lock trouble
Travel, house guests, late nights and busy days all mean more chances to leave keys behind. Empty homes during trips can also attract unwanted attention.
Before you travel
- Check every exterior door and window lock works properly.
- Leave a spare with someone you trust, not under the mat.
- Change smart lock batteries and check app access.
- Use lighting timers so the house does not look empty.
If you get locked out on a holiday
